Frequently Asked Questions
What are public and private tests?
There are 3 test types, private, semi-public and public. Semi-public and public tests are completely free, you can create as many as you like and send as many visitors as you like through them and you'll never pay a cent.
With private tests your results are yours only and other users will never be able to see them. The different Zentester accounts have a limit to the number of private tests you can run and the number of visitors you can send through each private test.
With semi-public tests other users of Zentester will be able to see tests you've run and your results for those tests. They won't be able to see what your website URL is or any identifying information about your test. Semi-public tests are comprimise between helping the community while still keeping yourself anonymous.
With public tests other users of Zentester will be able to see everything you see to do with your test, including any heatmap or visitor spy data you've collected.
With both types of public tests other users will be able to leave comments and feedback on your data to help you out with your testing.
I've set up my tests, and I'm refreshing my page, but the page isn't changing
This is by design, Zentester tracks visitors via ip address and cookies to ensure that even if they refresh the page multiple times they only ever see the one variation. If they were able to see more it would make the results less accurate. If you'd like to see the different variations of your page you can use the visual editor to preview every change.
What Content Management Systems Does Zentester integrate with?
Technically Zentester works with every CMS as it runs through Javascript, so no matter what you are using you can simply add the one line of HTML code to your page and Zentester will run.
Zentester currently has plugins for Wordpress and Joomla to make Zentester automatically add the HTML code to your pages.
